DBX provides delivery services for a wide range of industries. Some of the sectors we serve include flower shops, pharmacists, medical suppliers, liquor stores, laundry stores, bakeries, and a variety of other retail stores. We deliver almost any item for any industry same-day. No matter your business, we can help ensure your deliveries arrive on time and in perfect condition.

DBX offers a variety of on-demand delivery services designed to meet the unique needs of retail, warehouse, and other businesses. We provide customer pickups for services like laundry or returns and customer delivery. All deliveries are dispatched using routes to minimize driver foot traffic and ensure efficiency.
1-Hour:

  • Available for locations within a 0.8-mile radius from the pickup location.
  • Minimum lead time: 1 hour.
3-Hour:
  • Available for all of Manhattan.
  • Minimum lead time: 15 minutes.
Same-Day:
  • Cross-borough delivery available.
  • For orders placed before 2 PM, delivery will be made by 8 PM the same day.
  • This option provides the least driver foot traffic and is the most economical delivery choice.

Extra Small: Fits in a shoe box.
Small: Fits in a large suitcase.
Medium: Fits in backseat.
Large: Fits in car trunk.

For safety, legal, and logistical reasons, we are unable to deliver certain items. These are classified as prohibited items and include, but are not limited to:

  • Hazardous Materials: Flammable liquids, explosives, poisons, and toxic chemicals.
  • Perishable Goods: Items that require refrigeration or have a short shelf life and could spoil during transit.
  • Live Animals: Animals or any live organisms.
  • Illegal or Restricted Goods: Drugs, firearms, weapons, and other items prohibited by law.
  • Dangerous or Sharp Objects: Items like knives, firearms, or any other sharp objects that could pose a danger during transportation.
  • Counterfeit or Stolen Goods: Products that violate intellectual property rights or are illegal to transport.
  • Flammable Items: Aerosols, fireworks, or anything that poses a fire risk.
  • Money and Valuable Items: Cash, jewelry, and other high-value items that require special handling.
  • Food Service Establishment: Any food or non-food products being picked-up from any food service establishment (as defined by N.Y.C. Admin. Code §20-1501).

All of our couriers are screened and successfully completed our training. Afterwards we continue to use various methods to monitor their success while delivering.

You will be reimbursed if an item is lost, stolen, or damaged because of a driver's negligence. All deliveries are insured for up to $100. Additional insurance options are available, covering up to $1,000. Our lost, stolen, and damaged claim rate is less than 0.014%. See our refund matrix for more information here.

No, however we prioritize efficiency and aim to reduce foot traffic at stores. Our system automatically groups deliveries based on the timeframe and delivery location to optimize routes.

A quote is valid for 24 hours. The price is a flat rate, meaning it won’t change based on demand, weather, or other external factors.

While it’s highly recommended to provide accurate dimensions and weight to ensure we dispatch the correct vehicle, you can alternatively use the item’s size (e.g., small, medium, large) when placing your order. See size guide.

processing: The order has been placed, but a driver has not yet been assigned.
assigned: A driver has been assigned to the order.
arrived_at_pickup: The driver has arrived at the pickup location.
picked_up: The order has been picked-up by the driver.
arrived_at_delivery: The driver has arrived at the order delivery location.
undeliverable: The driver was unable to complete the delivery and the order will be returned to the pick-up location.
delivered: The order has been successfully delivered by the driver.
returned: The order has been returned to the pick-up location after a failed delivery attempt.
canceled: The order was canceled prior to pick-up.
